Unicoi County man arrested after running from police

A Unicoi County man is facing drug and evading charges after running from police. T he Unicoi County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve 51 year old Clint Casey of Erwin, with an outstanding felony warrant. Casey ran from deputies into a wooded area near Candy Lane. A search of the area led deputies to a home where Casey was known to live. Casey surrendered a short time later. Investigators found more than 12 grams of methamphetamine, 30 grams of marijuana and a loaded firearm at Casey’s home. Casey faces multiple drug related charges and evading arrest. He is being held in the Unicoi County Jail without bond.
