Pratt’s BBQ plans last meal before closing
A Kingsport staple will shut its doors following a Father’s Day buffet next month.
Officials with Pratts BBQ announced the final meal to thank customers and pay tribute to restaurant and catering founder Tom Pratt who began his venture in the 1970s.
Tom’s son Jonathan said they continue to negotiate a deal with their honey glazed ham business. He also noted the future of Big John, the large statue that came with the property when Pratt invested on Stone Drive, is being discussed but plans are to keep the historic landmark in Kingsport. The business was placed on the real estate market last month.
