Cop Killer pleads guilty to federal charges
The South Carolina man who killed Big Stone Gap police officer Michael Chandler in November of 2021, pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal charges in connection to the case. White pleaded guilty to eight counts related to the murder of Chandler, including drug conspiracy and firing a gun in a drug trafficking crime. White pleaded guilty last month to first-degree murder in state court. White faces at least 40 years in prison. White and 18 other defendants took part in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl. Officials say the conspiracy began in August 2021 and continued after White was arrested.
