Kingsport announces New Economic Development Director

The City of Kingsport has announced the selection of its new Economic Development Director will be Steven Bower. The office was created in 2019 and As director, Bower will work to advance Kingsport’s economic development efforts under the direction of the City Manager and the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Bower has worked for the office in various capacities and has been it’s Economic Development Specialist since 2022 . Bower previously served in the Tennessee National Guard and obtained degrees in political science and public administration from ETSU.
