County official announce the death of District 9 Commissioner Suzy Williams

Her biography was the definition of a public servant.

County and city officials penned tributes to Washington County Tennessee District 9 Commissioner Suzy Williams whose passing was announced by Mayor Joe Grandy on Wednesday.

Williams was serving her third term on the board and was the member of several commission subcommittees and a representative on the Johnson City Library Board.

Williams and husband Jack were also the founding members of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was a Unicoi native and a graduate of the University of Tennessee.
