TBI investigating officer involved shooting in JC

The TBI is investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place at a residence Friday night in downtown Johnson City. Officers responded to a domestic assault call on W. Chestnut Street Friday, when a man came out of the house carrying a shotgun. The man fired the gun and an altercation with an officer began resulting in officers firing back striking the subject. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment. No officers were injured.
