Accidential shooting suspect captured in Weber City

A man blamed for the death of his sister in a Kingsport shooting was arrested after he led police on a pursuit in two states on Monday afternoon.

Curtis Ferguson had admitted to accidentally shooting his sister Angelique Ferguson, 43, on Friday when he removed a handgun from his pocket.

Ferguson was shot in the side and later died at an area hospital. A police report said Ferguson refused to meet with officers to surrender and fled patrolmen who spotted him in Lynn Garden. Ferguson was arrested in Weber City after crashing inside a Food City parking lot and faces a list of charges.
