Greene County deputy commended for saving life of choking restaurant customer
A tip of the cap to Deputy Sarah Brown of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
Sarah was recently commended by Sheriff Wesley Holt for her lifesaving actions earlier this month by performing a procedure on a choking customer at a restaurant.
Resident Rhonda Hennessy said Sarah approached her and looked at Rhonda’s husband and said, “I got this,” then stayed with her until she regained her breathing.
“I heard her gasp, realized she was choking and just responded. I feel that I did what anyone would have done in that situation. I would have responded the same way whether in uniform or not,” said Brown in a statement issued by the department.
“Deputy Sarah Brown stepped up in an emergency situation and saved this woman’s life. That is incredible. I’m proud of her and proud to have her at the department,” the sheriff said.
