College commission gives accreditation with warning status to King University
The governing body that regulates accreditation for higher education has granted King University provisional approval for that rating with a warning.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission’s Board of Trustees report said King’s warning status was due to failure to demonstrate compliance with regulations for financial resources and responsibility.
A statement issued by King University leaders says they continue to work on stabilizing their finances following the pandemic and the school has an approved balanced budget.
