Report: Gray man took dog while pointing pepper ball gun at victim

Deputies in Jonesborough said a 49-year-old man entered a home armed with a pepper ball gun then took the victim’s dog under duress.

A report from Sheriff Keith Sexton said Michael Damon Bawgus of Gray admitted taking the dog at gunpoint while threatening to shoot the victim.

Bawgus faces one count of aggravated domestic assault. He was released from jail after posting a $30,000 bond.
