JC commissioners approve annexation request along Gray Station Road

Johnson City commissioners approved an annexation request along Gray Station Road where 33 housing units are planned. The plan is still early in the approval process. Departments are reviewing the territory to determine a timeline for providing services and financial impacts. Commissioners say they approved was the project because of a housing shortage. The next step would send A plan to the planning commission. If it’s approved, it would then go before the City Commission.
