Carter County juvenile killed in crash Tuesday evening

A 15-year-old was fatally injured in a crash in Carter County Tuesday evening, according to a crash report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The crash took place in the 1500 block of Powder Branch Road at around 6:38 p.m. A 15-year-old driver was alone when the individual lost control of the vehicle and ran off the left side of the road. The vehicle hit a telephone pole and a tree before overturning and landing in a ravine. The THP report says the juvenile was not wearing a seat belt.
