Sheriff’s Office reports four people shot in Yancey County, North Carolina

Four people were shot in neighboring Yancey County, North Carolina while Sheriff Shane Hilliard said a person of interest was in custody.

A report from the agency said the incident occurred in the Murphytown community and 36-year-old Lucas Murphy is being held in their jail. The agency has not released a motive.
