WCSO arrest man for kidnapping and assault

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 34 year old Nathan Allen Steele and charged him with Kidnapping and Simple Domestic Assault on July 23. Deputies responded to a call in the 100 block of Frazier Road. The victim had visible injuries to her face and told deputies that Steele drove her to that location from her home, took her cell phone and refused to let her leave for about seven hours. He then made her get in his vehicle, threw her cell phone out the window and proceeded to hit her in the face while driving. She eventually escaped from the vehicle when he stopped and she fled to a residence and called 911. Steele fled and was later located by Deputies. Blood spatter consistent with the victim’s account of what happened was located in Steele’s vehicle. He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 24.
