Jonesborough passes new budget with no property tax increase
The Jonesborough Board and Alderman has passed its fiscal year 2024-25 budget with no property tax increase on the first reading Wednesday. The new budget will see building permit and review fees increased due to growth in the town. Another change will see water and sewer rates increase for large commercial customers using over 5,000 gallons. The board also passed an employee compensation plan that includes raises for town employees. The new budget will now move on to it’s second reading.
