WCSO investigation nets 59 pounds of meth and 2 arrests
After an extensive drug investigation conducted by the Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Office, two individuals have been arrested and a substantial amount of methamphetamine has been seized. On July 24, the Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Office executed search warrants at two locations within the county. One warrant was conducted on Interstate 81 in Washington County, and the second search at a residence in Abingdon. Large quantities of meth and fentanyl along with weapons were seized at both locations. 45 year old Tyrone Robert Irving, of Roanoke and 29 year old Brock Dalton Widener of Abingdon and both now face multiple felony drug and weapons charges. Search warrants were also obtained for a residence and a storage locker in Roanoke, Virginia, and Salem, Virginia, connected to this case, which led to an additional seizure of 59 pounds of methamphetamine with a total street value of over 1.9 million being seized. Irving and Widener are being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail Authority without bond.
