Erwin mother who left toddler in locked car to gamble at casino to be released
A Northeast Tennessee woman convicted of child abuse for leaving her toddler in a locked car while she was gambling inside the Bristol Casino is scheduled to be released from prison on Monday, according to information from the Virginia Department of Corrections.
Jasmin Solinksy of Erwin was sentenced to serve 1 year and 3 months in prison after a Circuit Court judge suspended her 5 year sentence.
She has been incarcerated at Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women in Central Virginia.
Body cam footage posted on social media showed Solinsky explaining to officers that her brother was supposed to be in her car watching the child. Her 3-year-old daughter was taken into custody at the scene by child protective services.
