Kingsport Main Street Rebuild project public meeting scheduled

The City of Kingsport is having a public meeting on September 23 regarding the Main Street Rebuild project. The meeting will be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Montgomery-Watterson Boardroom (3rd floor) of City Hall. The City is seeking input from residents, businesses and property owners who have questions or concerns about the Main Street Rebuild project. The Main Street Rebuild is a $20 million, multi-year construction project that aims to improve and beautify downtown Kingsport. Work started in November 2022 near the Kingsport Area Transit System side of Main Street and has proceeded westward toward Clinchfield Street. The project calls for new underground utility line placement with enhanced landscaping and crosswalks.
