Increased law enforcement at some Washington County, VA schools

Police presence has been increased at multiple schools in Washington County, Virginia after the school system reported that there have been rumors on social media about potential school threats, but those rumors are not believed to be credible. A post from the school system’s Facebook account says the schools with increased law enforcement coverage are High Point Elementary School, E.B. Stanley Middle School and Wallace Middle School, The post also says that there will be increased police presence at John S. Battle High School.
