Bristol Casino posts second best revenue month in August

The Bristol Casino had its second-best revenue month ever in August and set a new record for income from slot machines. Slots generated $13.2 million in August, beating the record previously held in March 2024. Table games contributed just over $2.5 million to August’s adjusted gross revenue. The month contributes nearly $1 million dollars to the Regional Improvement Commission. The RIC evenly disperses funds to the 12 counties and two independent cities of Southwest Virginia, who must use the money generated to improve transportation, education and safety in the area.
