JCFD prepares for National Seat Check Saturday

The JCFD will participate in National Seat Check Saturday, September 21. The JCFD will offer free car seat safety checks from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Station 3 on E. Main St. Certified child passenger safety technicians will assist with safety seat installation, inspect to ensure seats are put in correctly, and provide advice on selecting the best safety seat. Members of the department will also be at the Farmers Market on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., distributing information on child passenger safety and answering questions. The JCFD offers free child safety seat checks year-round. At least one car seat technician is typically available on every JCFD shift.
