T A Dugger student arrested for bathroom threat

An Elizabethton police report said vandalism in a city school’s girl’s bathroom that had concerning language has led to the arrest of a student from T.A. Dugger Jr. High.

The suspect was identified as a 14-year-old female who was charged with a threat of mass violence and possessing a weapon on school grounds after officers took a knife away from the child.

Officers said students did not experience any imminent threats or danger during the investigation.
