Johnson County Hurricane Helene update

The Johnson County Courthouse reopened on Tuesday after being closed due to flooding. The Johnson County Government stated in a news release that some services and resources at the courthouse may be limited due to ongoing internet issues. The release says some credit and debit card transactions may not be available so residents are asked to bring cash or checks for any transactions. The Johnson County Health Department will be closed through Friday along with the schools. County officials say The National Guard Armory building will be open daily from 9AM to 7PM to get water and supplies.  A Red Cross emergency shelter is open at the First Christian Church on W Main St in Mountain City.
