Embreeville moves warming center to United Methodist Church
The warming center previously at the Embreeville Volunteer Fire Department was relocated to Embreeville United Methodist Church on Thursday due to plumbing issues. The center, located at 4026 Hwy 81 S, Jonesborough, TN, will be open from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. until Sunday. The warming center serves as a shelter for Washington County residents impacted by Hurricane Helene to stay warm as temperatures drop outside. The church will also provide water, restrooms and sleeping arrangements. The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency said counties establish their own warming centers.
