Erwin Utilities provides update

Erwin Utilities announced Monday that power and water have been restored to all service locations that are able to reconnect. The utility is still working on a plan to restore services to the industrial park area. Erwin Utilities continues to encourage minimal use of the sewer for all customers. Utility officials say materials have been ordered for a temporary bypass line across the Jackson Love bridge and along the backside of the industrial park. Bids have been accepted for the construction. A plan to restore temporary wastewater treatment has been made and the utility will advertise those bids on Wednesday. Erwin Utilities says they have restored fiber service to all service locations that can reconnect except for the Jones Branch community.
