JC to start collecting live Christmas trees

The City of Johnson City’s Solid Waste Department has started collecting live Christmas trees during the regular brush collection schedule. To have trees picked up, place trees at the behind or on the curb. Do not place trees next to objects such as fences, guy wires, and poles or under trees as equipment is restricted in those areas. And finally, to make sure your old tree is ready for pick up, make sure all decorations have been removed. Trees mixed with other debris will not be collected until properly separated.
