SCSO: Train hits car at railroad crossing, no injuries

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a train hit a car that was stuck on the tracks Sunday night. Authorities responded to the intersection of Vance Tank Road and Broyles Lane. The driver of the vehicle told the responding deputy that he had gotten stuck on the tracks. He was able to get out of the vehicle before the train struck the vehicle and no injuries were reported.
