Drones to be used for parking/traffic study in Downtown JC

The City of Johnson City will fly drones throughout downtown Thursday, Friday, and Saturday as part of an ongoing parking study. The study aims to study the pedestrian and motor vehicle traffic in downtown. A professional firm will fly drones downtown to collect data on parking usage and patterns, and the times of the flights will vary. If the weather conditions are unfavorable, the drone portion of the study will be moved to April 3 & 4. Community members can also participate in the study by completing a survey about parking downtown with a link provided on the cities website.
