Investigators: Man punished child by ‘branding’ with hot fork in Scott County

A Florida inmate is scheduled to be arraigned in Scott County Circuit Court– accused of branding a child with a hot fork. 28-year-old Nicholas Brian Glover faces child abuse and neglect charges stemming from a 2016 incident where, according to court documents, the victim said Glover placed a fork in a campfire then stuck the utensil to the child’s arm as punishment for using curse words. A school teacher spotted the child’s wound and notified child services. Glover is serving prison time in Florida on unrelated charges.
