UT Buds: Knoxville board to consider beer at Tennessee campus venues
Decisions are on the table next week that could finalize beer sales at University of Tennessee athletic events. According to city documents, the Knoxville Beer Board will hear plans from vending company Aramark on Tuesday for selling alcohol at campus venues including Thompson Bolling Arena and Neyland Stadium. The company is proposing to keep beer away from concession stands near student sections and having a two-beer purchase limit per visit. It’s still unclear if UT officials will have plans in place for suds for the Volunteers season opener on Aug. 31 against Georgia State.
