VDOT Seeks Public Input On Interstate Frontage Road Project

The Virginia Department of Transportation is looking at ways to better connect the Bristol city limits and the town of Abingdon. The department is seeking your input as a new survey is now online to gain feedback for the Interstate 81 frontage road study. The concept includes up to 12 small roadway projects to connect existing road segments between I 81’s Exit 7 at Bristol and Exit 22 in Abingdon. The survey asks about road use, problems and concerns about traveling in the area as well as other potential improvements. The survey is online until July 31.
