Book it: Neighboring Harrah’s casino setting up for sportsbook betting

Sports fans in the Tri Cities who have wanted to place wagers on their favorite team can now do so and it’s within a day’s drive. Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in North Carolina has announced they will construct a new sportsbook inside their facility and have it ready in times for bets for college and NFL football this fall. The development is a result of Governor Roy Cooper signing necessary legislation late last week. The site will also allow wagers on horse racing.
