Virginia Highway’s Ranked Second In Nation According To Report
The Virginia highway system, the third largest in the country has been ranked second in the nation in overall cost effectiveness and condition, according to the Annual Highway Report released Thursday by Reason Foundation. The Commonwealth jumped 25 spots from the previous report, which ranks state highway systems in thirteen categories, including traffic fatalities, pavement condition, congestion, as well as spending per mile. Virginia’s best rankings were reported in rural arterial pavement condition and the urban fatality rate.
