Kingsport City Schools Looking At Random Drug Testing Of Some Students
The Kingsport City School System is exploring the issue of randomly drug testing some students in grades nine through 12 who are voluntarily involved in extracurricular activities at school. In a recent board meeting members heard a presentation of how other school systems have implemented this kind of policy. And now school leaders want to hear from parents of students from Dobyns-Bennett concerning the proposal. A public hearing is being held Tuesday April 17 at six pm at the school board headquarters.
