NOAA Report: 2019 in Tennessee Has Second Wettest Year on Record as of August
Data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says this is the second wettest year on record in Tennessee.
NOAA reports year to date precipitation levels marks 2019 as the second wettest year for the Volunteer State dating back to 1895. Locally, Johnson City has received 40 inches through August, 11 inches above average, and the fifth wettest in 82 years.
