Former Big Stone Gap Couple Found Guilty Of Distributing Large Amounts Of Drugs Into Southwest Virginia
A Georgia husband and wife, formerly of Big Stone Gap Virginia are found guilty of bringing large amounts of methamphetamine, heroin, oxycodone, cocaine and other drugs into southwest Virginia. 51 year old Roy Lee Dykes and 57 year old Leila Varetta Rita Hector-Dykes were found guilty following a five day trial in federal court in Abingdon on drug conspiracy charges. Each faces a mandatory minimum sentence of imprisonment of ten years and a maximum penalty of up to life in prison and or a fine of up to ten million dollars when they are each sentenced on December 19.
