Suspect Identified in Sunday Incident in Kingsport Involving Unresponsive Woman Found in Yard

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation following the discovery of an unresponsive woman in a yard in Kingsport Sunday.

Information from the department says they received a call around 3:00 p.m of a report that a woman was lying in a yard at a home on Fordtown Road. The woman was taken to a local medical facility to be treated for serious injuries. They have identified a suspect in the case as Nathaniel White-Young, age 30, of Kingsport. Young is charged with attempted first degree murder and aggravated arson. Authorities say he could possibly be driving a 1987 gold Honda Civic. He is described as a white male standing 5’11 inches tall, weighing around 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
