Norton Man Pleads Guilty To Attempted Murder Of Roommate

A Wise County judge will now determine the sentence a Norton Virginia man will receive after pleading guilty to attempted murder stemming from a domestic case in March of 2018. 49 year old Gregory Ernest Milam, was convicted of attempted second degree murder after shooting the female victim in the hand and chest area. The investigation revealed that Milam drove the victim to the hospital with multi life threatening gunshot wounds. Sentencing in the case is scheduled for December 18. Milam faces a total maximum punishment of up to 43 years in the penitentiary.
