Tri Cities Student’s Help Push State To Record On AP Exams
More than one thousand Tri Cities students took last years Advanced Placement Test, helping propel the state to a record setting year for the number of students taking the exam. Johnson City reported 639 students took last years test, Kingsport had a total of 441 students taking the exam, with just over 81 percent of those scoring a three or better. Data for the number of Bristol students who took the exam will not be available until next week. The annual test offers students the ability to take college level course work and earn college credit based on their performance on the AP exam. Nearly 34 thousand students took the AP Exam across Tennessee.
