UPDATE: Carter County man arraigned for attempted murder

A Carter County, Tennessee man indicted for attempted second degree murder earlier this year has been arraigned in Criminal Court in Elizabethton.

Charges against Claude Henry Banner, 51, were bound over to a grand jury in July. He was arrested after a shooting incident in the Poga community in March after Banner said he was showing a gun to the victim when it went off. Court records show Banner is scheduled for another court hearing on Dec. 20.
