UVA College Of Wise Competes In Cybersecurity Challenge

An event at The University of Virginia at Wise is bringing local talent together with industry partners in cybersecurity issues. Bsides SWVA is a competition and gathering that raises awareness of the cybersecurity industry talent in the region. About 60 people participated in the competition recently on the campus of UVA Wise. The competition features cybersecurity challenges where participants attempt to breach the opposing teams computer network while protecting their own network from attack. Officials with Wise say the event helps those interested learn more about Cybersecurity issues and also allows the College to get its name out in the public and make connections.
