Ribbon Cutting Set For Newest, Largest, Ulitmate Shopping Experience At Abingdon’s Food City

A ribbon cutting for Food City’s newest and largest store is being held Tuesday afternoon at the soon to be opened 62 thousand square foot flagship store location at 151 Cook Street in Abingdon, Virginia. The new store is designed to deliver the ultimate shopping experience and features include an in store Starbucks, and a growler station with craft beers on tap as well as an expanded grocery section featuring a huge selection of gourmet, international, and specialty items. The store is also introducing the newest innovation in customer assisted checkout with the Raptor accelerated checkout. The store officially opens Wednesday morning with an eight oclock grand opening.
