Washington County, VA to Consider Becoming 2nd Amendment Sanctuary County
Washington County, Virginia is the latest locality seeking to gain second amendment sanctuary status.
During next Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting, board members Saul Hernandez and Randy Pennington will introduce a resolution that says the county intends to oppose any proposed gun legislation passed into law that infringes on the rights of citizens to bear arms as stated in the constitution. Two other local counties declared themselves sanctuary counties earlier this week, including Lee County in Virginia and Sullivan County in Tennessee.
The full description of the resolution is available here (Pages 85-87).
