TDOT Halts Lane Closures On Tennessee Highways During Thanksgiving Holiday

With an estimated one point two million motorists expected to travel on Tennessee roadways this Thanksgiving Holiday, the Tennessee Department of Transportation is halting all lane closures due to construction. Beginning Wednesday at noon, all construction related lane closures will be stopped. The halting of road work during the extended holiday period will give maximum capacity, and will alleviate congestion during the projected peak travel days of Wednesday and Sunday. The extended holiday travel period extends till six am on Monday.
