TRAFFIC ALERT: Rock slide has roadway blocked in St. Paul

Officials in Saint Paul were forced to closed down traffic in one lane following a massive rock slide on Friday morning.

According to information from the St. Paul Fire Department, the slide on Wise Street between Fourth Avenue and Ramey Drive also impacted utility lines and caused police to reroute traffic near the downtown area. Repair and excavation crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation were brought in to move the large boulders that smashed chain-link barriers and spilled rocks into the roadway.
