Johnson City Police Investigating Death of woman found in hot tub

The Johnson City Police Department is investigating the death of a woman after finding her in a hot tub late Saturday night.

Authorities say they were called to the 1700 block of Buccaneer Drive after a tenant living below the woman in an apartment noticed water dripping from her ceiling and called a maintenance person to investigate. The body of the 49-year old was transported to the William L Jenkins forensic center to have an autopsy performed to determine the cause of death.

The identity of the woman has not yet been released.
