CDC: Tennessee Flu Activity Now “Widespread”
The CDC says flu activity in Tennessee has now reached widespread levels.
The latest update from the national health institute now reports 10 states with widespread flu concerns. The Tennessee Department of Health in their weekly influenza summary says in recent weeks, 12 of the 95 counties in the state have had at least one flu test confirmed positive, while patients with flu like symptoms have jumped over one percent compared to the week before.
As for the Tri-Cities, only 29 of the nearly 2000 patients that visited a sentinel clinic last week reportedly were experiencing flu like symptoms.
