Police Arrest Johnson City woman following alleged chase that ended in vehicle driving into home
A Johnson City woman is facing charges after she allegedly initiated a pursuit which ended with her driving her car into a home.
A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol says Johnson City Police attempted to stop a black Honda Accord Monday morning, driven by Tameka Hamilton, 34, that had reportedly left the scene of an incident at a home on East Lakeview Drive. The report says Hamilton fled from officers until she crashed into a home on Cash Hollow Road. No one was inside of the home at the time of the incident. Hamilton was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries while a passenger was uninjured.
Hamilton is charged with two counts of felony reckless endangerment, felony evading arrest and 5th offense driving on a revoked license. THP awaits completion of their investigation through a toxicology report from Hamilton.
