UPDATE: State labs to test what caused several to overdose in Castlewood
Test results have been sent to state labs to see what caused several people at a home in Castlewood to experience a drug-related emergency Thursday morning.
“They were called to the scene on a possible overdose and when they arrived on scene they were in a convulsive type of state, somewhat combative and (officers) administered Narcan to them,” said Major Bill Watson of the Russell County Sheriff’s Office.
Watson said that one of the five patients treated at the home located on Buffalo Hollow Road remains in a local hospital in stable condition.
