Elizabethton Cyclones gear up for Saturday’s 4A state title game
It’s state championship time, and on Saturday the Elizabethton Cyclones will hope to bring a title back home to Northeast Tennessee.
Elizabethton takes the field in the TSSAA Class 4A Championship game against the Springfield Yellowjackets, as thousands are expected to flock to Cookeville to see if the Cyclones can complete a perfect season and win their first state title since 1938. The Cyclone Touchdown Club posted on Facebook a community wide pep rally is to being held Friday at the school’s gym at 2 p.m, and a send off is scheduled for Saturday morning at the school’s parking lot.
The Cyclones and Yellowjackets kickoff Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
